Role

Oversee the Training & Development department with effective supervision to support production in producing high quality parts in a safe, cost-efficient manner. Comply with all company safety, quality and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

1. Create annual business plan outlining your department’s objectives. (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery)

2. Ensure that all associates are following FCC’s safety requirements at all times.

3. Complete corrective actions for all safety concerns within your department (SCARs)

4. Create an annual department manpower plan.

5. Complete associate’s time and attendance records.

6. Assign trainers to trainees and confirm that proper training is completed daily. (8-day OJT)

7. Review trainee’s performance and provide feedback to the trainee and department management (Initial Evaluation, Annual Evaluations, Performance Reviews)

8. Evaluate the overall training process for effectiveness (test results, turnover rate, associate evaluation results)

9. Implement improvements to the overall training process.

10. Create and maintain controlled documents outlining proper methods for all department procedures (FMEA, CP, WS, VA, CS)

11. Complete corrective actions for all quality concerns within your department (MNCRs)

12. Create annual investment plans for department improvements (ergonomics, cost reductions)

13. Create annual budget plan for department expenses.

14. Confirm your department’s cleanliness and organization daily. Confirm implemented improvements using the 5C principle (Clean, clear, create, commit, continue).

15. Promote and ensure conformance to the company’s ISO 14001 procedures (recycling, reducing waste)

16. Promote and ensure conformance to the company’s IATF 16949 procedures (work standards, check sheets, regulations, quality manual)

17. Knowledge of company policies and practices dealing with associate relations (free of discrimination, harassment, violence, drugs, and alcohol).

18. Knowledge and experience of departmental machines, equipment and procedures.

19. Effectively communicate with management, direct supervisor and associates

20. Attend meetings as needed to assist with department continuous improvements and corrective actions.

21. Additional projects assigned by management
