FCC Indiana, located in Portland, IN, currently has openings on 2nd shift in our Lathing and Machining areas.

We are looking for qualified candidates for the following roles:

• CNC Lathes
• EBW (electron beam welding)
• Hand Lathes
• Broach machines
• Drills

Responsibilities:

• Follow written and verbal instructions, including work standards and check sheets, in order to produce various product components
• Inspect and verify the accuracy of product for quality conformance using measuring and testing machines/equipment or by visual examination
• Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts using basic hand tools
• Record production data in a computer system or on paper.
• Maintain production progress in relationship to the production schedule.
• Adhere to machine/equipment preventative maintenance plans
• Comply with departmental continuous improvement activities (product quality, production efficiencies, scrap, downtime)
• Promote and ensure conformance to the company’s TS 16949 procedures (work standards, regulations, quality manual)
• Promote and ensure conformance to the company’s ISO 14001 procedures (recycling, reducing waste)
• Promote and ensure a safe, clean, harassment-free, working environment. Comply with department 5C activities
• Effectively communicate with management, direct supervisor and associates

Schedule:

• 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: Monday-Friday 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Understand basic math
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
• Prior experience with a CNC or lathe is a plus
