Role

Support Die Cast department with daily maintenance and repair of dies, ensuring the cost-efficient production of high-quality parts. Comply with all company safety, quality and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow written and verbal instructions, to maintain dies in order to cast and form aluminum parts.
• Load die sections into machine, using overhead crane; and secure in position using hand tools.
• Repair and replace worn or defective dies.
• Maintain die cast tooling/equipment preventative maintenance plans.
• Assist with countermeasures in production problem areas, including bad parts.
• Comply with departmental continuous improvement activities.
• Promote and ensure conformance to the company’s IATF 16949 procedures (work standards, regulations, quality manual).
• Promote and ensure conformance to the company’s ISO 14001 procedures (recycling, reducing waste).
• Promote and ensure a safe, clean, harassment free, working environment. Lead and improve department 5C activities.
• Effectively communicate with management, direct supervisor, associates, and suppliers
• Additional projects assigned by management.

Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• 2-year degree in Industrial Technology or related field or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Manufacturing environment
• Trouble shooting/root cause analysis.
• Computer knowledge

Environmental/Working Conditions

• Essential functions of this job require the associate to regularly: stand, walk, bend, twist, carry and lift
• PPE as required by company policy.
