Position Summary: The primary responsibility for this position is to provide billing support. The billing aspect of this role will include active and specialty billing responsibilities. This position will work close with accounting to initiate payment requests and monitor balances each month. The Billing Analyst will maintain processes and procedures for refunds and provide innovative ideas when supporting new technology.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Refunds
  • Process Medicare Supplemental Change Files
  • Work Medicare Discrepancy Files
  • Process Medicare Terminations
  • Research Annual Forfeiture Reports
  • Billing Support
  • Research client calls/emails by analyzing relevant customer/client data and report findings and/or solutions
  • Analyze and resolve suspense
  • Assist with the safe handling and protection of internal and external data (specifically the rules and regulations around data involving PII and PHI)
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • A.A. degree or equivalent in Accounting or Business Administration
  • 2 years of experience in benefits/insurance administration, bookkeeping or customer service
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products, web based and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications.
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced environment and handling pressure
