FBM-Foundation Building Materials is Hiring a Warehouse/Forklift Operator Near Belmont, MI

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Forklift Operator to join our team at a drywall distribution warehouse. Experience is welcome but not necessary.

The candidate must be able learn material handling skills and operate heavy equipment, ensuring the efficient movement of goods within the warehouse.

Duties:

- Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery to move materials within the warehouse
- Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any malfunctions
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movement
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications:

- Must be able to perform forklift operation and materials handling.

- Must be able to work with co-workers and have customer relation skills

- Must be able to learn and be qualified on equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment is helpful
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for inventory tracking and order fulfillment

Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Certification in forklift operation
- Experience with palletizing and stacking techniques
