*This is an in-person role in the San Antonio, TX area.*

Responsibilities within this role include answering all inquiries related to Closed loan and repossession titles (via phone, email and regular mail) and then acting based on the inquiries which can include lien releases, title release information and title corrections.

Release Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Process and release all consumer paid loans
  2. Ensure that repossession title work complies with all applicable state laws and regulations.
  3. Prepare and verify necessary paperwork for submission to DMV such as legal documents, affidavits, lien releases and VIN verification letters
  4. Sign off ownership and lien information in addition to providing all legal documents required for sale, release or correction.
  5. Release ownership of vehicles; executes and notarizes titles according to state guidelines.
  6. Handle specialized reporting, uploads, downloads, and exporting of title data as well as all title mailing and periodic inventories.
  7. Total Loss Packets (create and send all documents required to Insurance companies per state guidelines)
  8. Initial Total loss calls (Calls are to Insurance companies, provide Letters of Guarantee and Copy of Title)
  9. Process title work for Total Loss titles if Farm Bureau Bank is not listed as lienholder.
  10. Process repossessed title work.
  11. Files repossession of Affidavit to send to auctions
  12. Send title s to Auctions.
  13. Calls to the DMV and dealers for title follow-up documents
  14. Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete.
  15. Compiles and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work. Reports to management on the status of any missing or problem titles.
  16. Notarize all title documents to DMVs or Auctions.
  17. Research state DMV websites for forms, requirements, law changes, etc.
  18. Perfect liens on all types of collateral and assure all documentation is in place to protect the bank interests, Title corrections (such as spelling, incorrect VIN and name changes)
  19. Document all systems with comments and relevant data. Manage several reports and must be well organized/detail orientated
  20. Provide general support and problem resolution for internal and external customers.
  21. Consistently respond to customer inquiries and requests in a professional manner and within company timelines.
  22. Process all closed loan return mail.
  23. Perform other duties as assigned.


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  1. Strong verbal/written communication skills and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and react quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Strong analytical, research and organizational skills
  3. Effective problem solving, interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential.
  4. Ability to work in an accurate, detail-oriented and highly productive manner.
  5. Self-motivated with strong decision-making capabilities, initiative to work independently with minimal supervision.
  6. Strong Microsoft Word/Excel
  7. Ability to manage multiple tasks during high volume periods
  8. Ability to meet goals in a production and quality-based environment
  9. Strong work ethic

    Education and Experience:
  1. High school diploma or GED required with some college work is desired
  2. 2-3 years lending experience in a banking and/or operations environment
  3. Some knowledge related to the process of perfecting liens on consumer loans.
  4. Previous DMV or Title experience is highly preferred.
