Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care during surgical procedures. Duties:
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available
- Assist the surgical team during procedures, providing support and ensuring patient safety
- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery, assessing their condition and responding to any changes or complications
- Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the surgeon or anesthesiologist
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care instructions and provide emotional support
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles and practices
- Experience working in an operating room setting is preferred
- Proficient in medical imaging and patient care technologies
- Familiarity with dermal fillers and other cosmetic procedures is a plus
- Ability to operate CT scanners and other diagnostic equipment
- Health coaching skills to assist patients in making positive lifestyle changes
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is desirable
