Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide care and support to expectant mothers during the childbirth process, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby.

Responsibilities:

- Monitor the progress of labor and track vital signs of mother and baby
- Assist with pain management techniques and comfort measures
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
- Educate patients on prenatal care, postpartum care, and newborn care
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans
- Prepare mothers for delivery procedures and provide emotional support throughout labor
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records

Skills:

- Experience in CT (Computed Tomography) scanning
- Knowledge of sterile processing techniques
- Understanding of behavioral health principles
- Ability to perform gastric lavage procedures
- Proficiency in acute care settings
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
- Knowledge of primary care practices
- Competence in inhalation therapy methods
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
- Understanding of laboratory procedures and protocols
