Fay Group General Management Trainee Program

The General Management Trainee (GMT) participates in a 12-to-18-month rotational program designed for recent college graduates and early career professionals focused on developing a talent pipeline of senior-level operational leaders for the company.

The program consists of a series of business rotations designed to provide cross-functional experience in operations, sales, and shared services functions. Practical work experience is complemented by professional development, mentorship, executive networking opportunities, and a dedicated program manager to support the GMTs onboarding, assimilation, performance, development, and transition into management positions within core operating areas of the business.

The GMT program offers the opportunity to develop a strong understanding of the business, be involved in projects key to evolving our operations, demonstrate individual leadership skills, grow one’s managerial capabilities, and establish a strong network throughout the organization. After successful completion of the program, GMTs are eligible for placement into front-line leadership roles, offering accelerated career paths within operations.

We are offering a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates looking to begin a new and exciting career path. Our next class will start in June of 2024.

What you will do in the Program:

  • Successfully complete job rotations of increasing responsibility and scope within core operating areas of the business, starting with front-line operations and progressing through shared services and people/ project management roles.
  • Develop domain knowledge of Fay’s business to include a strong understanding of department goals and organizational objectives.
  • Learn and demonstrate the fundamentals of operating workflows, quality controls, customer service, client relations, data-driven decision making, and effective people management.
  • Actively participate and engage in operational, compliance, and managerial training to develop knowledge of enterprise and department policies, processes, tools, technologies, and practices.
  • Provide high-level customer service to key stakeholders, demonstrating strong capability and consistent achievement of performance metrics.
  • Effectively analyze data, prepare reports, identify, and propose solutions for improving operational efficiency and enhancing service levels.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to enable the team’s collective success to resolve issues and proactively address opportunities through continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and changes in regulations to ensure compliance; analyze and apply learnings to assigned operating area to make proactive recommendations.
  • Research, analyze, summarize, and present rotation outcomes and best practices to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with Fay’s policies, processes, and practices.
  • Role model Fay’s Values, Operating Principles, ethical standards, professionalism, and code of conduct.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 What you will bring to Fay: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Business Management, or related field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Previous operational and/or customer experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with sound judgment
