Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire
Setting: School based health / Pediatrics / Developmental Disabilities
Location: Gloversville, NY
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday 7am-3pm, follows the school schedule (works 185 days a year)
Pay: Union scale pay, based on experience plus benefits
This School Nurse - RN will be responsible for 1:1 care to a Middle School student(s). Role would include health and personal care to student(s) such as toileting assistance, assist them physically in transferring to and from wheelchairs to other equipment and lifting on to and off school transportation vehicles, Yankauer suction, student and administrative documentations into electronic system School Tool. Position is based on the school system so off and closed when school is closed.
REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing
• Active and clean NYS Registered Nurse licensure
• Comfortable working with pediatric population
• Experience working with children with disabilities is a plus, not required
• Ability to lift and position wheel chair user(s)
