Title: Patient Financial Representative
Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire
Setting: Clinic / Outpatient
Location: Lenexa, KS
Schedule: Full-time, Mon-Fri, daytime hours (flexible scheduling)
Pay: $18-19/hr based on experience plus full benefits to include, PTO, insurance and 401k
The Patient Financial Representative will be the responsible for assisting with the insurance and payment processes within a large physicians group. Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
- Answers incoming phone calls from office and patients
- Insurance verification of benefits for procedures
- Obtain prior authorization
- Processes patient credit card payments sent via mail/phone
- Contacts patients for prepayments and copays for upcoming procedures/drugs
- Work correspondence such as bankruptcies, return mail, etc.
- At least 6 months of recent experience working with medical insurance or a recent Medical Biller graduate
- Experience with electronic medical records
- Must possess excellent customer service and phone etiquette skills as well as ability to produce accurate work in a fast paced environment
