A non-profit clinic Framingham, MA is currently seeking a Biling and Coding Specialist to join their team full time!Check out the details below :
Title : Billing and Coding Specialist
Job Type : Permanent / Direct Hire
Setting : Clinic
Location : Framingham, MA, 1 day a week in Worchester, MA
Schedule : Monday-Friday 9a-5p
Pay : Competitive pay based on experience plus a full benefits package
The Billing and Coding Specialist duties include but are not limited to :
- Will serve both locations of the clinic : 4 days a week in Framingham, 1 day a week in Worchester, MA
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Reviewing claims for appropriate coding and sending to insurance carriers based on carrier specific requirements.
- Posting and reconciling all payments at month end.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Able to prioritize work, anticipate department needs, plan accordingly and able to handle interruptions with ease.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction, take initiative within the scope of work responsibilities.
- Must be organized and detail oriented with strong mathematical aptitude and ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of HIPPA and the ability to maintain confidential information security relative to all company’s proprietary information.
- Assist with month end / year end close and reporting.
REQUIREMENTS :
- 5 years’ experience in medical billing, eligibility, authorization, and interaction with payers
- Medical Billing and Coding Certification required
- Understanding of HCPC and ICD-10
- Working knowledge of commercial and state payers claim processing and procedures (including Medicare and Medicaid)
