Faurecia is Hiring an AD Sales Manager Near Northville, MI

Overall responsibilities and duties:

Integrated within the Sales Organization of a given Customer Business Unit, the Sales Manager is responsible for the Sales development for a specific Account or part of this Account (Program, Serial Life, Acquisitions), within a Division / Region.

The main missions of the role are:

  • Ability to develop in-depth intimacy with customer contacts at all levels (Engineering, Programs) with a special focus on purchasing counterpart as needed to support Sales Directors
  • Participate in customer meetings (progress reviews, quality reviews, commercial global meetings) to support Program / Sales teams as needed.
  • Understand market trends and competitive advantage as it becomes available
  • Support Sales Directors to prepare, check and validate the commercial offers, reply in a timely manner to customer requests
  • Support Sales teams regarding customer change request responses
  • Develop a good knowledge for the Acquisition process and details including cost and manufacturing details
  • Generate targeted pricing and carve out a negotiation path using proven tactics to convince the customer on figures/position
  • Support Sale Directors to ensure proper written documentation is sent to customer regarding pricing and addressing any and all commercial liabilities that could arise
  • Align offers with technical proposal considering vertical integration, free buy and mandated components
  • Define AD business development strategy for NAO (with support from shared Sales team)
  • Responsible for validating the Business Plans and the presentation to AD Divisional Management.
  • Understand the baseline working agreements between Faurecia and the customer
  • Support claims negotiations as necessary and ensure accurate price tracking
  • Has good working knowledge of Business Plan including Variable Cost Margin of the products
  • Work closely with finance to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting driven by sales function
  • Coordinate/Drive commercial productivity proposals understanding impact to P & L
  • Understanding and execution of VA-VE commercial mechanisms
  • Deep understanding and commercial management of local economics (inflation, exchange rate)
  • Understanding and rigorous implementation of the Sales Administration guidelines & processes (purchase orders, invoices, terms of payment, overdue management, customer payment milestones and documentation need for EDD, Tooling, OT claims etc.)
  • Oversee commercial management for spare parts
  • Work within the Faurecia systems and provide information as needed (Business plans, Gate Reviews etc.)
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management

 

Qualifications:

Minimum education level: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field. (Master’s preferred)

Experience:

  • 7 years automotive industry
  • Seating (JIT/Covers/Metals)
  • Business Development/Account Management Experience (Stellantis preferred)

Skills & Competencies:

  • Action oriented person with strong organizational skills.
  • Preferred established personal relationship with automotive customers in the market.
  • Finance skills required.
  • Strong negotiation skills with proven track record of success on various commercial assignments exhibiting good judgment.
  • Customer Focus, Drives results, Collaborates with others.
