Our Clean Mobility Division is looking for a Maintenance Technician for its location in Franklin, OH.

The role of a Maintenance Technician is to participate in the Total and Preventive Maintenance (TPM) for all equipment and facilities.

The main missions of the role are to:

  • Install, repair and maintain all equipment and facilities
  • Perform minor repairs to building fixtures, perform minor plumbing repairs, clean electrical fixtures, replace bulbs and do painting
  • Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality
  • Try out equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime
  • Record operational data, such as pressure readings, length of stroke, feeds and speeds for use in set-up and preventive maintenance records
  • Review production schedule and, when equipment is not scheduled for production, perform scheduled maintenance
  • Propose and implement continuous productivity and quality improvement actions for all facilities and process efficiency
  • Give advice on technical specifications of a new equipment and alterations on existing equipment and facilities, making sure manufacturing, Health, Safety and Environment and maintainability requirements are met
  • Set up requisition for supplies, equipment and facilities
  • Participate in the management of the inventory of spare parts and consumables to eliminate downtime
  • Keep up to date documentation related to maintenance
  • Train operators on the safe operation of production equipment
  • Maintain clean and sate working environment in line with company policy
  • Adhere to all work rules and procedures

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Clean / paint equipment, clean / seal floors, paint lines around equipment when line is down or when assigned
  • Actively participate in work teams
  • Implement at least two improvement idea per month
  • Dispatch trouble calls when required
  • Other duties as requested

Physical Requirements:

  • Job involves lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, exerts 25 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and exerts 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Requires pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, walking, gripping and bending
  • High mental and visual effort required
  • Work involves considerable bending and twisting
  • Able and willing to work overtime when required – up to 12 hours a day / 7 days a week

Job Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications:

  • Technical diploma and/or journey man card
  • At least 3 years of maintenance/engineering experience within a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Perform task of substantial variety/complexity which require an extensive knowledge of fabrication/processing techniques, tools, materials, machines and equipment
  • Electrical wiring and mechanical skills
  • Working knowledge of Quality systems and Health, Safety and Environmental skills
  • Strong technical problem solving skills
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Satisfactory company work record, including attendance
  • Successful completion of Faurecia’s in-house training program
  • Ability to follow instruction verbal and written - good math, language and reading skills required
  • Good communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate with employees of all levels
  • Forklift/Sissor/Boom certification – successful completion of Franklin certification trainings
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and in a positive manner
  • Valid drivers’ license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $29.50 per year
