Fat Daddy’s Server Job Description and Responsibilities

• Attend to guests upon entrance, present menus and daily specials
• Welcome guests, read and listen to people to determine beverage and food preferences, make recommendations, and take drink and food orders
• Assess guest needs and preferences, stay guest focused, and provide an excellent guest experience
• Prepare restaurant tables and work areas, with special attention to order and sanitation
• Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions; ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change; maintaining an accurate cash book
• Navigate and process transactions using the POS system
• Check guest identification and confirm they are of legal drinking age, comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Develop an efficient work pace
• Restock and replenish restaurant inventory and supplies
• Maintain a clean and organized work and dining area by removing trash and dirty dishware, cleaning tables, washing glassware, utensils and equipment
• Limit customer problems by restricting alcohol intake, and attempting to curtail inappropriate behaviour
• Deal with complaints with a positive attitude
• Work as a team with fellow restaurant, bowling alley, and kitchen staff
• Willing to train the right individuals
• Nights and weekends are mandatory for this position
