Fat Daddy's Bar & Grill is Hiring a Cook Near Alexandria, MN

Fat Daddy's Bar & Grill in Alexandria, MN is looking for cooks to join our team. We are located on 115 30th Ave E.. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and engaged.

Summary of Position:

Accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.

Responsibilities

· Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.

· Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served.

· Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.

· Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food procedures at line stations to assure a smooth service period.

· Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.

· Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, sauté burners, convection ovens, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment.

· Prepares items for broiling, grilling, frying, sauteing, or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating.

· Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.

· Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly.

· Assists in food prep assignments during off peak periods as needed.

· Working with servers to ensure orders are completed according to request and on time.

· Ensuring the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.

· Nights and weekends are mandatory for this position. Shift times vary but are typically 9am-5pm, 11am-8pm, 3pm-close or 5pm-close.

· Closes the kitchen properly and follows the cleaning checklist for kitchen stations.

Qualifications

· Cooking experience or back of the house experience preferred, but not necessary.

· Able to meet all scheduling commitments.

· Able to anticipate the needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs.

· Strong attention to detail.
