Job Summary:
Raytheon has an opening for a Principal Production Control Specialist. To plan and prepare manufacturing production schedules, assess changes and improves processes as necessary. Tracks status of material availability and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment/materials are available as needed. Prepares status and KPI reports as needed to understand critical needs and priorities. Coordinates material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials are timed to meet production requirements. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, and other groups. Schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders. Review and maintain master production schedule (MPS)
The Principal Production Control Specialist will perform a variety of technical and business tasks in support of production factories or programs. This individual will support the associated tasks listed below which are necessary to prevent a work stoppage or a slip in schedule, both of which would have a significant impact to the factory and/or program's cost and schedule requirements. This position will also directly support CORE and other continuous improvement objectives.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Evaluate and coordinate training needs to better utilize metrics and system accuracy.
  • Coordinate factory commits based on MRP needs with factory OPS team
  • Evaluate and improve process flows regarding the assemblies that are in progress, material availability, and potential production problems. Propose solutions to mitigate any work stoppage the factory teams may experience due to any slips in material orders.
  • Controls on hand material through its life cycle; issue to work orders or projects, returns to suppliers, ships to customers, etc.
  • Support analysis of multiple Bills of Material and Chemical Bills of Material in an MRP system; releasing work orders and tracking material though the build process
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering.
  • Leads projects and or teams to accomplish continuous improvement.
  • This position is an onsite role.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's and 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in related field.
  • Experience within Production Control/Operations or Supply Chain.
  • Experience with PRISM SAP system
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with 1.4 Explosives
  • Experience with Government and Depot type processes
  • Experience with formula applications and creating pivot tables in MS Excel
  • Experience reading and evaluating lists of parts required for production work and working with a production planning system

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
