Position Summary

Manages Reconciliation of Bank Accounts process. Supports Accounts Payable process.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reconcile daily cash deposits made by EFT from Payors, credit card remittances, and deposits of cash and checks made by clinic locations
• Reconcile other general ledger accounts as assigned by Controller
• Ensure Patient Refunds are properly documented and approved prior to refund being issued
• Support accounts payable process as needed by:
• Updates and maintains vendor information, determine if vendors are 1099 eligible and if so, send them a IRS Form W9, and obtain completed form from vendor before paying them
• Ensure invoices received for payments are approved by the proper person, if not, obtain approval by person on delegation of authority document
• Post invoices to AP system by allocating expenses to correct location/account/cost center combination
• Maintain historical records by filing invoices and check remittances in proper folders.
• Special projects as assigned
• Assists in monthly closing.
• Process weekly aging reports and subsequent payables check run
• Process patient over-payments from Epic EMR on a weekly basis. Process file from Epic and send payment file back to Revenue Cycle team.
• Other tasks as assigned by Controller or VP Finance

Experience, Skills and Education

• High School diploma or equivalent 
• At least one-year previous accounting or accounts payable experience in a multi-site health care environment, preferably in the health care space
• Skills: Attention to Detail, Thoroughness, Organization, Analyzing Information, Strong Customer Service skills, Good verbal and written communication skills, Understanding of general ledger chart of accounts, Basic accounting knowledge a plus, Maintaining Vendor Relationships, PC Proficiency, Data Entry Skills, General Math Skills, Proficient with MS Word and Excel, Experience with Workday financials a plus, as is experience with Concur employee expense reimbursement.
