Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Office Manager/Lab Technician to oversee the daily operations of our office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, coordinating office activities, and ensuring the smooth running of the office environment.

Description

This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 7:45am-4:15pm.

Office Manager/Specimen Collector is responsible for collecting various samples, such as urine, hair follicle, breathe alcohol, nail for screening. Specimen Collector duties include interacting with donors, conducting drug testing, and processing and shipping specimens.

Office Manager/Specimen Collector position requires detail orientation, organization, customer service, being able to work without supervision, good communication skills, and computer competencies.

Examples of Duties

1. Facilitates the collection, processing and shipping of specimens

2. Presents products and services thoroughly and persuasively

3. Collects specimens from donors

4. Operates laboratory machine

5. Follows policies to correctly identify the donor before any specimen is obtained

6. Properly labels and documents the specimens and prepares them for shipment

7. Demonstrates excellent customer service and compassion when interacting with donors and clients

8. Maintains neat, clean, orderly client/work areas at all times

9. In uniform and badge visible while working

10. Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary

Typical Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

· Principles, practices, and techniques of specimen collection;

Skill to:

· Compose correspondence and reports;

· Operate a computer sufficient to enter, store, and retrieve data; and

· Maintain accurate files and records.

Ability to:

· Communicate with, understand, and react effectively to a diverse donor population base

· Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with donors, and clients;

· Accurately record information and

· Maintain composure, interact diplomatically, and make effective decisions in confrontational situations;

Required Certifications and Licenses: Possession of a valid driver's license or alternate means of travel. Certifications as may be required for specimen collection.

Experience and Training:

Training is provided. Any combination of training, education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities. A typical way to gain the required knowledge and ability is:

Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent and six months of general laboratory experience performing a variety of laboratory tasks, including the use of a computer or any combination of training and experience that would demonstrate the desired knowledge and abilities of the position.
