Compliance Specialist
Position location is flexible and may office from a branch in Winona, MN - Indianapolis, IN - High Point, NC - Greensboro, NC or Denton, TX
Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm
OVERVIEW:
Working as Full-Time Compliance Specialist, you will be a strategic link between Fastenal's Procurement, Supply Chain, Accounts Payable, Quality, Product Development, Customers, and Sales Teams. Your main responsibility will be providing first level support for supplier compliance needs relative to supplier vetting and onboarding to support the field/customer demands. Some key areas supported by this team include: Certificate of Liability Insurance, Supplier Reviews, Supplier Diversity, Sustainability, Supplier Creation and Maintenance. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Prequalifying potential suppliers to include risk reviews
o Creating and supporting supplier relationships
o Correcting, verifying, and maintaining supplier information and documentation
o Generating ad hoc reports
o Communicating with various departments on supplier progress and remaining needs
o Enforcing company policy with regards to supply chain compliance
o Manage ticketing system requests from internal teams via Service Now
o Using PeopleSoft, 3rd Party resources, Internet Searching, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
o Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Demonstrate strong math aptitude attention to detail and sense of urgency
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Work independently as well as in a team environment

o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
