ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of journal entries, month end close process, G/L account reconciliations, financial reporting and external audit support. You will analyze variances and make recommendations to ensure expense controls and process improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare journal entries for full cycle month-end close process and perform G/L account reconciliations
• Manage key accrual accounts, analyze revenues, and expenses
• Assist in the preparation of supporting schedules for quarterly reviews and annual audits
• Analyze general expenses and trends; and make recommendations on appropriate levels and ensure expense controls
• Audit and review high volume transactions; take appropriate actions to address and adjust incorrect transactions
• Proactively detect, research, and resolve general expense items including review of invoices to ensure proper account coding
• Work closely with the business partners and FP&A team to ensure that expenses are properly captured
• Review and reconcile prepaid accounts and fixed assets
• Identify and recommend internal control and general expense process improvements, including full automation and design leveraging new finance platforms
• Project manage the full accounting lifecycle, from initial setup, monitoring, to month-end close
• Assist in system implementation and testing of new product features
• Assist in implementation of new accounting guidance
• Assist in all internal and external audits
• Assist in all compliance issues

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of five years of experience at a compant with more than $200M in revenue
• eCommerce, retail or consumer products experience is required
• Intermediate skills with ERP solutions, ideally NetSuite
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong analytical skills, including advanced skills with Excel
• A mix of public and private accounting experience preferred
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment

• BA|BS in Accounting or Finance
• English, additional language(s) an advantage
• Schedule of this position: Monday – Friday | Core business hours | Onsite
