Farwest is the preeminent metal solutions provider within the greater Western United States for all of your metals needs.Purpose of the Position:

Perform material handling and coordination of activities that support the efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of receiving of goods. Ensure that the quality of the material being received meets or exceeds customer requirements.

Major Duties:

• Count, confirm quality and specifications and properly identify a wide variety of incoming materials, and supplies in close adherence to the company receiving policies and practices.
• Report any discrepancies or off-quality observed to QC or Supervisor. Serve as “the first set of eyes” for quality requirements and assurance.
• Mark, store, and stage received materials in a proper and organized fashion, consistent with company procedures.
• Maintain accurate accountability of raw material in inventory. Conduct physical inventory as required.
• Ensure accurate documentation of goods in strict adherence to policy and procedure. Make recommendations for areas/methods for improvement.
• Help out where needed to ensure the flow of the shop is at a constant.
• Follow work rules (included but not limited to): time clock integrity, accountability, attendance, following processes as set by Farwest. 

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED optional
• Reading, basic math, writing skills and computer entry knowledge required.
• Operate lift truck and overhead crane
• Full understanding of purchase order, receiving and shipping procedures
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English
• Must have an eye for detail and must be able to multi-task
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Modern computer skills including the use of MS Office programs
• Oracle software experience is a plus

• Pay Range: $25.25 - $32.30 hourly
