Farrow is Hiring a Transportation Analyst Near Seattle, WA

Farrow is a diversified, family-owned business that facilitates international trade by executing comprehensive customs brokerage and integrated logistics solutions. We provide our clients peace of mind with our customs brokerage, shipping, and freight-forwarding capabilities for Canada and the United States. Position Summary This full-time position is primarily responsible for arranging and completing International and Domestic Transportation documents. Key ResponsibilitiesCreate files with shipment/booking notifications and ensure they are updated accordingly.Prepare transportation sheets. Documentation auditing.Import, export and domestic freight tasks.Confirm Original Bill of Lading (OBL) and arrange payments as needed. Issue checks as required, for freight, terminal, accessorial charges, etc.Obtain information needed for dispatch and confirm pickup and delivery.Ensure debit notes are processed properly and send them to all international and domestic vendors. Prepare, update and send clients shipment information.Maintain client spreadsheets and send to client timely.Handle document turnover shipments as needed.Invoice clients.Complete a variety of other duties as assigned.Education and ExperienceHigh School/GED.Minimum 2 years in the transportation industry.International logistics experience preferred.Competencies, Working Skills & AttributesStrong communication skills, both written and verbal.Tactful and dependable.Excellent problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail.Experience with computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel.Strong interpersonal skills, able to work independently. Working Conditions, Mental Effort & Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods.Ability to focus on computer screens and/or written materials for extended periods.Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals.Overtime and/or weekend work will be required.Must work under deadlines and related stresses in a timely and efficient manner.Must be able to professionally handle situations as they arise. Our BenefitsHealth, Dental, Life and Disability Insurance401(k) planPaid time off Continuing education programsCommunity involvement opportunitiesEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Farrow is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion.
