The Equipment Manager/ Lead Fleet Diesel Mechanic will be in charge of all preventive maintenance (PM) and service repairs. Maintain PM software, create work orders, schedule and perform PM, and maintain DOT logs. Expedite and maintain inventory via PM software, stock all parts, and shop supplies. Ensure shop cleanliness and provide a safe work environment at all times. Supervise shop staff. Maintain a log of hours and duties performed.

On-call during operations; hands-on hours; average 60 hours per week; call out hours as needed for repairs; facilitate all repairs/service requirements; assist Operations/General Manager with on-site issues and coordination with service issues; supervise shop staff.
Summary of essential job functions:
40–50-hour workweek. Annual service and PM on all vehicles. Supervise shop staff; prepare vehicles for and DOT inspections; ensures all operations are conducted in accordance with the company’s safety standards; general building maintenance.
Minimum requirements:
Class B CDL Minimum
10 years Diesel experience required.
10 years heavy equipment experience required.
Management experience 5 years
Computer skills (MS Excel, Word, and PM Software)
Maintain a professional appearance at all times and follows the company policies.
Ability to work unsupervised in a multi-task environment.
