EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR 2024CERTIFIED VACANCIES - EXTERNAL POSTING The Farmington Public Schools is seeking Special Education Teachers for it's Extended School Year (ESY) programs. The Farmington Public Schools Extended School Year (ESY) programs are designed to provide eligible students with disabilities reinforcement of skills acquired during the regular school year. Eligibility for participation in ESY is determined on an individual basis through the PPT process. It is based on various factors, including the specific needs of the student and whether there is a strong possibility a student will lose skills, or have difficulty recouping skills, after an extended period of time without summer instruction.
Special Education Teachers Grs. 1-8 Academic Support Programs
- Orientation/Set-Up Day: June 27, 2024 (8:30am - 1:30pm) - required
- Program Dates: July 1-25, 2024 (M-Th)
- Teacher Hours: 8:00am - 12:00pm
- Stipend: $3,640 (includes 5 hours of paid planning time)
Grs. K-8 Specialized Learning Center (SLC) -Intensive Autism Programs
- Orientation/Set-Up Day: June 27, 2024 (8:30am - 1:30pm) - required
- Program Dates: July 1 - Aug. 8, 2024 (M-Th)
- Teacher Hours: 8:15am - 1:45pm
- Stipend: $7,098 (includes 5 hours of paid planning time)
- Applicants must have experience working with students with autism in an ABA-based educational setting.
Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Program
- Orientation/Set-Up Day: June 27, 2024 (8:30am - 1:30pm) - required
- Program Dates: July 1-25, 2024 (M-Th)
- Teacher Hours: 8:00am - 12:00pm
- Stipend: $3,640 (includes 5 hours of paid planning time)
*Applicants must hold a valid State of CT Certification in special education.
