Farmhouse Pottery is Hiring a Warehouse Lead Near Woodstock, VT

The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the employees, equipment, and products in Farmhouse Pottery’s warehouse. On a day-to-day basis, this position will oversee the functions of shipping, receiving, returns and transfers, physical product storage, and inventory via NetSuite, our ERP. It is also the job of the Warehouse Lead to provide performance reports to management and institute procedures to increase efficiency. This position reports to our Operations Manager.

Responsibilities include:

Oversee the Warehouse Team

  • Schedule the work shifts and direct workflow for warehouse and shipping departments
  • Conduct employee performance reviews
  • Initiate, coordinate, and enforce operations policies and procedures
  • Ensure the safety and training of staff

Oversee Warehouse Operations

  • Oversee receiving of inventory, order returns, warehousing, and distribution operations with an emphasis on efficiency
  • Maintain physical product storage and bin organization within the warehouse
  • Maintain inventory accuracy in NetSuite (Farmhouse’s ERP) via stock control, inventory counts, and adjustments as needed
  • Coordinate and oversee weekly inventory transfers and deliveries to retail store
  • Oversee lamp assembly process, ensuring best practices and proper procedures are followed
  • Oversee work orders for product assembly 
  • Oversee order management and processing
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of the condition and location of fleet vehicles

Reporting and Deliverables

  • Maintain documentation and keep accurate records of warehouse activities
  • Report on and implement improvements to operations that support company goals for growth and profitability
  • Two years minimum management experience or equivalent
  • 3 years experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent experience
  • General tech comfort and experience in Excel a must, experience using an ERP (such as NetSuite) or WMS system a plus
  • Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to set goals, motivate, and manage conflict
  • Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must adhere to all safety standards
  • Forklift certified a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently carry, raise, or lower objects up to 40 pounds from one level to another
  • Remain on feet in an upright position for continuous periods of time
  • Ability to walk throughout the building, including up and down stairs and outside
  • Exerting force up to 40 pounds on a regular basis to move an object towards or away from team member
  • Good hand-eye coordination and hand strength
  • Regularly reaching for, grasping, and/or picking up objects
  • Bending forward by bending at the waist or bending legs and spine
