Overall Job Function:

We are seeking a qualified IT Network Support Specialist to assist our internal users with questions and/or issues concerning computer systems, hardware, and/or software as well as work outside installing and upgrading our state-of-the-art systems. The technician will work with users remotely and in person, guiding them through systems configuration and troubleshooting, while aiming to resolve issues with efficiency. Standout candidates will be excellent problem-solvers with outstanding communication and customer service skills. This candidate will also assist with building, installing, and managing FCS’s network and infrastructure including running cables, installing hardware, printer networking/sharing, system backups and configurations, 

Essential Job Functions:

 Install, upgrade, and maintain Network infrastructure.

• CAT5e/CAT6 cabling
• Fiber Optic Cabling
• Wireless access points
• Solid conduit, flex conduit, and wall boxes on projects as required. 

Install, upgrade, and maintain network camera systems.

Install, upgrade, and maintain electronic lock systems.

Assist in administration of network switches and routers.

Assist in the setup, deployment, and maintenance of end user systems.

Secondary Responsibilities: 

End user support.

Printer support

Basic electrical skills a plus but not required.

Other duties as assigned.

Overtime as necessary

• Boom lifts.

Ability to drive safely. 

Ability to work safely on roofs, elevators, and other high places, as necessary.

Preference given to candidates with Experience with Cisco and Meraki switches, Axis camera and door look systems preferred.

Fast based, high stress, sometimes dirty environments.

Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science

Prefer a minimum of 2 years’ experience in computer networking. 

Knowledge of IT infrastructure and equipment. (PC's, Servers, Switches, Routers etc.)

Work Requirements: 

This position is based in a fast-paced office setting. Equipment utilized will be a computer, phone, fax, copy machine and other standard office equipment. Typical office hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Position will at times work outside; exposed to elements, loud noise, heights, dust, agricultural equipment, and climbing ladders.

While performing job functions the employee will be required to talk and hear most of the time. The employee will spend frequent intervals moving and sitting, while also needing to reach, bend, twist, crawl, crouch, stoop or kneel. The employee will need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 15 pounds frequently. The physicality of this job is medium.
