Overall Job Function: You are the “final contact” with a How-To Building Center customer. Their experience with you will be their final impression of the How-To Building Center and may determine whether or not this customer returns and becomes a lifelong How-To Building Center customer. You are “boots on the ground” for maintaining positive relationships with our customers. Making sure the appliances, of all types and brands, are in good physical condition and working order and prepared to serve the needs of our customers.
Essential Job Functions:
Ensure that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest friendly environment greeting and acknowledging every guest.
Maintaining solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.
Maintain an awareness of all product information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise and current promotional advertisements.
Shares exceptional customer service best practices with all customers while also modeling the values of the How-To Building Center and FCS.
Prepare appliances for loading and unloading.
Work in a team setting delivering and installing appliances.
Helping maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
Operate company delivery truck safely and respectfully. Update for service or repairs.
Interact and communicate with customers and fellow How-To Building Center employees clearly and respectfully.
Track daily/weekly jobs for payroll purposes.
Comply with all How-To Building Center policies, procedures, and practices.
Performs tasks and assignments requested by the Sr. Director of Retail.
Any additional duties, as assigned.

Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED
Prefer 1 or more years of sales or customer service experience.
Work Environment:
This position is based in a fast-paced office setting. Equipment utilized will be computer, phone, fax, copy machine and other standard office equipment. Hours will vary with the demands of the retail environment, including evening, weekend, and holiday rotations. Position will occasionally work outside; exposed to elements, loud noise, and varying weather conditions.
Physical Demands:
While performing job functions the employee will be required to talk and hear most of the time. The employee will spend frequent intervals moving and sitting, while also needing to reach, bend, twist, crawl, crouch, stoop or kneel. The employee will need to be able to lift up to 100 pounds frequently and maneuver on and off step equipment. The physicality of this job is high.
