Haul Truck Driver

Capital Paving and Construction is seeking an experienced haul truck driver for projects in Central and NE Arkansas. This individual will be responsible for driving a haul truck to move dirt and rock and other company vehicles as needed such as dump trucks and water trucks. Some prior experience driving in a construction setting is desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure a safe work environment while maintaining compliance with all safety policies and procedures
• Driver will be assigned loads, report as directed to job site, and complete a work order daily for that job
• Driver is expected to perform daily truck inspections
• Maintain truck logs or time recordings
• Load and secure equipment, as needed
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• CDL is a plus
• Clean driving records
• Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record.
• Previous experience driving a heavy haul and dump truck.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent communication skills to interact at all levels
• Work overtime, nights, weekends, as needed
• Willing to travel/work out of town
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
