Farm Home Supply is Hiring a Scanning Coordinator Near Cottleville, MO

JOB TITLE: Scanning Coordinator
Reports to: Store Manager & Assistant Manager
Classification: Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
To provide the best customer service and maximize sales through the efficient execution of Farm & Home Supply Gold Standards of Operational Excellence. Scanning Coordinators will oversee store-level pricing, activation and verification of sales, and properly placed signage throughout the store.
Essential Functions:
  • Provide excellent customer service and is an A team player
  • Function as the location’s primary pricing expert. Overseeing store-level pricing, verification, and signing.
  • Operate handheld Telxon to ensure the proper pricing and signing of merchandise.
  • Navigate POS system to look up products, run reports, and activate price changes.
  • Oversee the activation and signing of all store sales, promotions, and regular price changes.
  • Ensure proper signage and pricing is being used at all times.
  • Report items that will not scan.
  • Identify discontinued and clearance merchandise on an as-needed basis.
  • Trained on cash registers to help provide backup assistance.
  • Follow company guidelines for department merchandising.
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment while following loss prevention and safety procedures.
  • Attend store and job-related meetings as needed.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements:
  • Advanced understanding of retail operations with 2 years of retail experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Farm & Home products and merchandise across all categories
  • Knowledge of point of sale (POS) systems preferred
  • Ability to learn how to use the company’s ERP system (as needed)
  • Knowledge of applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work with groups of individuals as well as independently
  • Contribute to a positive working environment
  • Ability to operate computers and other commonly used retail equipment
  • Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods of time
