Maintenance Worker position:

The ideal candidate will either have previous experience in a maintenance role, or will be willing to learn maintenance skills. The Maintenance Worker is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.

The typical hours for this position are 6:30 am – 4:00 pm. The individual will be required to stay until the job is complete if there is a maintenance issue. Farm Crest Foods is a seven-day-a-week operation. The maintenance supervisor will typically work five days week, rotating weekends and holidays off. This individual may be required to work additional days if necessary.

Responsibilities:

· Repair and maintenance of all farm equipment, including; conveyor systems, feed chains, water lines, manure belts and scrapers, motors, etc.

· Observes and listens to mechanical devices to locate causes of trouble

· Lubricates and clean parts

· Performs preventative maintenance on equipment

· Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

· May be required to be on-call

· Must be able to pass a drug test

· Cannot own or come into routine contact with birds

Qualifications:

· 1 year maintenance experience preferred

· Must possess a valid driver’s license
