Position Description:

What you will do:

* Design processes and facilitate discussions that define data quality rules for each of the CDEs in collaboration with Product Managers/Product Owners.

* Work with the Data Management team on the implementation, training and usage of a business glossary

* Communicate the importance of treating data as an asset throughout the organization and solicit ongoing feedback and recommendations.

**Key Responsibilities**

Promote Data as an Asset

* Communicate the importance of treating data as an asset throughout the organization and solicit ongoing feedback and recommendations.

* Develop and promote conceptual business information models and enterprise information diagrams for utilization throughout the Associations.

* Understand key business processes that create and utilize key data elements.

* Provide guidance and training to Product Managers/Product Owners on data management strategies around the criticality of the sources and uses of data, which in turn ensures high data quality throughout development work and into production environments.

* Facilitate quick wins that can be transformed into repeatable process and long-term solutions in the organization.

* Assist in the defining of a roadmap to prioritize the initiatives to manage and govern the Associations key data.

Critical Data Element Governance

* Identify and validate business domains, key CDEs and business definitions of each CDEs.

* Collaborate within the organization to determine the top (CDEs).

* Facilitate the identification and onboarding of Product Owners and ownership of CDEs within the Associations.

* Design the process and facilitate the discussion to define data quality rules for each CDEs in collaboration with Product Owners.

* Understand the dependencies between domains and ensure processes are developed, documented and repeatable.

Data Quality

* Collaborate with data owners in developing data metrics and reports to effectively monitor and promote data quality.

* Facilitate discussion between teammates involved with individual process, aid in problem solving for enterprise failures, define business materiality, and drive to accountability for resolution.

* Define business aspects of the quality assurance plan (reasonable data ranges, data profiles, and possible approaches) and contribute to the design of visualizations for system health as part of the project.

* Design the process and facilitate the discussion to define data quality rules associated with each CDEs and ensure monitoring of rules are appropriately defined and managed

Owner of Enterprise Business Glossary

* Defines and maintains an enterprise business glossary solution that meets key stakeholders business needs.

* Ensures the ability to identify changes in organizational strategies that alters the business glossaries.

* Facilitate discussions with key stakeholders to determine an enterprise framework to ensure data definitions are created and regularly updated in the business glossary.

**Qualifications**

* 3 years data governance, data management or related experience (Relevant company knowledge/experience may off-set some of the technical requirement)

* Significant experience in creating or managing data governance program and providing data management leadership

* 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in. Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Statistics or equivalent training and experience preferred
