POSITION SUMMARY :

Virginia Farm Bureau is looking for a Claims Trainer to help identify, develop, and implement a claims training program that is consistent with creating high performers for all positions in the claims department.

Location : Position will be based out of our beautiful West Creek office in Goochland, VA.

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00am - 4 : 30pm, this position does involve traveling, company auto provided with covered gas, insurance, and maintenance.

Company cell phone provided as well.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Design, develop and implement a formal training program, including job aids or instructional documentation.
• Work with hiring managers and supervisors on training needs for new or existing employees, both 1 : 1 and classroom style training.
• Work with other subject matter experts within the department to complete new employee training.
• Training sessions will include core systems, procedures, and core policies.
• Promote an atmosphere of exceeding customer expectations.
• Travel throughout the state to conduct follow-up training.
• Provide managers with assessment of additional training or coaching needs for existing employees.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and make recommendations based on data.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

• Work with hiring managers during the hiring process.
• Assist with department projects or initiatives.
• All other duties assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous training experience
• Knowledge of Claims core systems
• Knowledge of SOPs
• Policy knowledge
• Proven ability to coach, train and motivate others.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven customer focus
• Ability to work independently

MINIMUM SKILL QUALIFICATIONS

• High degree of organizational savvy and diplomacy
• Technically proficient in MS Office products and ability to utilize all in-house systems.
• Ability to quickly obtain proficiency on new systems.
• Strong detail orientation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• College or equivalent experience
• Prior VFB / CWY insurance experience
