Farm and Home Publishers is Hiring a Graphic Designer Near Clear, IA

```Job Summary:
Farm and Home Publishers is looking for a full time graphic designer to work on print and digital publications as well as direct mail and commercial print projects. You would work hand in hand with the other designers, print team, sales representatives and customers to create ad campaigns and publications for various media.

This position is a full time (40 Hours per week) office position located in Clear Lake, Iowa.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Use & understand various computer programs (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and more) to create and layout advertisements & publications
  • Work effectively and timely with customers to create ad campaigns that may fall under deadlines
  • Understand detailed notes from customers and sales reps to effectively revise and create ad campaigns
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and understand:

  • Paragraph styles (InDesign)
  • Understanding of typography and hierarchy
  • Book layout & pagination
  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
  • Comfort with Mac computers
  • Ability to learn new computer programs (Magazine Manager)
  • Logo design (Illustrator)
  • Photoshop (how to correct/resize/manipulate an image)
  • Pick up existing designs and alter or redesign based off old designs
  • Ability to follow direction
  • Ability to understand and meet competing deadlines
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Google Drive (Sheets & Docs)
  • Superb attention to details
  • Self-motivated, proactive, "can-do" attitude
  • Ability to work independently
  • Willingness to learn and ask questions
  • Face-to-Face interaction with staff to effectively collaborate and communicate
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Regular & Reliable Attendance

Experience:

  • Graphic design: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Adobe Creative Suite: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Adobe Illustrator: 1 year (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
