Far Shot Recreation in Syracuse, NY is looking for one event host to join our team. We are located at 451 S Warren St, Syracuse, NY . Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and reliable. We are looking to build a team of awesome coaches who are edgy, outgoing, fun, engaging! We need some sharp folks who are looking for a challenge in a unique environment with an eye for coaching. We'll teach you everything you need to know about Axe throwing, knife throwing, and archery, you'll be certified to be an authentic, knowledgeable and exceptional coach. You'll become an ambassador of the Far Shot's exceptional hospitable service, providing a safe and fun environment for guests to learn a new skill. You'll take a leading role in our ranges; you must learn to take charge, entertain, instruct and party with your group! No coaching experience is required, but you must have a drive and passion to want to learn and grow with the sports.

Responsibilities
- Prioritize safety as number 1. Ensures all guests are safe by strictly adhering to safety protocols and practices.
- Host guests by teaching and training them how to throw axes, knives, and shoot a bow and arrow safely.
- Interacting with guests in a positive, respectful, and encouraging manner at all times.
- Running games and tournaments for each group for each activity.
- Adding up scores
- Consistently provide exceptional customer service
- Positive attitude and energy
- Be able to multi-task, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. (not Sundays)
- Maintains a clean working environment and ensure the presentation of the facility is consistent with standard
- Is fully knowledgeable of products, games, and activities.
- Promote league play
- Learn and develop a coach's eye for our urban games: Archery, Axe, and Knife Throwing
- Be presentable, have fun, help guests to have fun. Put on a good show!
- Working well and reporting to the manager
- Be respectful and encouraging to all staff and guests.
Qualifications
- Positive attitude and energy
- Must possess customer service skills
- Teachable, willing to learn and grow
- Strong math skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively
