As a Remote Infrastructure Analyst at Far Out Solutions, you will be a pivotal member of our Technical Division, tasked with maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure. This role involves resolving technical issues, ensuring operational integrity, and optimizing server and virtualization environments. By maintaining smooth operations, you directly support our broader mission of client satisfaction and seamless business operations.

Position Overview:

Become an integral part of our Infrastructure Department as a Remote Infrastructure Analyst. Your proactive problem-solving and technical expertise will ensure the stability and efficiency of our IT infrastructure, resolving issues within agreed SLAs and driving continuous service improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Virtualization Environment Management:
• Troubleshoot and maintain virtual machines in VMware and Hyper-V environments to ensure optimal performance. Expect to dedicate approximately 20% of your time here.
• Operating System Support:
• Provide comprehensive support for Windows Server and Linux OS, including user account management, software support, and system configurations. Allocate around 30% of your time to these tasks.
• Parallels (RAS) Support:
• Support and troubleshoot Parallels services to enhance user connectivity and resolve related issues efficiently, which will require about 15% of your focus.
• Active Directory Management:
• Manage Active Directory tasks like account modifications, troubleshooting login issues, and managing user lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding. Plan to spend 20% of your time here.
• Issue Escalation:
• Identify complex issues and escalate them to specialized teams, ensuring timely and effective resolutions, which will consume roughly 15% of your time.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of server environments, virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper-V, and Parallels (RAS).
• Operating Systems: Extensive experience with Windows Server and Linux OS, able to handle complex system tasks.
• Communication Skills: Excellent ability to communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Robust analytical skills with a proven ability to solve problems efficiently and innovatively.
• Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment, sharing knowledge and contributing to team goals.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift frequently.

Education and Experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred.
• Relevant technical certifications like VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are advantageous.
