We are looking for a dynamic and accomplished Scientist with profound expertise in lipid nanoparticle research. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to our RNA delivery platform, driving the development of novel therapeutic solutions and providing leadership within the research and development team.

Job Description

• Produce and characterize LNPs for preclinical studies in a timely manner
• Design and optimize LNP formulations and production processes, ensuring improved efficacy and safety in vivo
• Explore innovative technologies and methods to improve current formulations and processes
• Analyze, summarize, and present key experimental findings to team members and management
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and expertise
• Lead and manage projects related to LNP research, ensuring timely completion and successful outcomes
• Maintain detailed records documenting formulation activities and results
• Contribute to technical and intellectual property discussions related to the development and application of our RNA Delivery Venture Co’s proprietary technologies
• Share responsibility for basic lab management activities (supply ordering, instrument calibration, maintaining schedules)
• Train new hires as directed on routine methods to generate and analyze LNPs
• Mentor and guide junior team members

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience in RNA nanoparticle formulation, purification, and characterization assays
• Experience with multiple formulation platforms (microfluidics, T-mixer, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Deep expertise in lipid nanoparticle formulation. Experience with LNP process development and scale-up is preferred.
• Experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, LC-MS, NMR, and CE is preferred.
• Ability to lead projects independently, multi-task effectively, and integrate fully into a high-achieving team environment
