Description
The Fantasy Island Amusement Park Ride Technician is a critical role for the overall success of the amusement park as this person will ensure all arcade games remain in proper operating order. This position must have basic skills with computer and electronics as well as some experience with arcade game repair. He/she must have the willingness and ability to use these skills to ensure the proper and safe operation of all arcade games. Ideal applicant has some experience, but more importantly a willingness to learn and desire to improve and develop existing skillset through company paid classes, seminars, and technical programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and refurbish arcade games and systems.
-Ensure all games and equipment comply with all Fantasy Island Amusement and equipment manufacturers' operating standards and requirements.
-Perform visual and preventative maintenance inspections on all games and parts.
-Maintain proper records for all inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
-Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of FIAP games.
-Must be able to and willing to perform and/or assist in the other park repairs and maintenance that is deemed necessary by supervisors.
-Able to problem solve and troubleshoot, and/or perform general maintenance of electronic and computer devices and vehicles to assure proper function and safety.

Requirements

• Experience in the amusement, theme park, and gaming industry a plus
• Two-year experience in arcade game maintenance preferred
• Background in computer, appliance, small electronics repair.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Ability to understand manuals and wiring diagrams.
• High energy, enthusiasm, and motivated demeanor required.
• Must possess a strong work ethic. Ability to efficiently manage time and work without direct supervision.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to interact and get along with different types of people and personalities.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check process.
• High school diploma a plus.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends. Up to 50 hours a week in the summer.
