Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development:

• Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that stimulate and support the overall development of one-year-old children.
• Foster sensory exploration, fine and gross motor skills development, and social interaction through play-based learning.

Daily Care:

• Provide attentive and nurturing care to meet the individual needs of each child.
• Assist with feeding, diapering, and other basic care routines, ensuring a hygienic and comfortable environment.

Safety and Supervision:

• Maintain a safe and secure classroom environment, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
• Supervise children during playtime and activities, ensuring their well-being at all times.

Parent Communication:

• Establish and maintain open communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress and daily activities.
• Collaborate with parents to address any concerns or special requirements related to their child.

Developmental Assessments:

• Conduct ongoing developmental assessments, documenting and communicating milestones and areas for improvement.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a seamless transition for children as they progress through the early childhood program.

Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff to create a cohesive and positive teaching environment.
• Participate in team meetings, workshops, and professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay informed about best practices.

Requirements: Previous experience as a one year old teacher. DCF 45 hours preferred. CDA/FCCPC is a highly preferred. Associate or Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education a plus. Excellent communication and organization skills. CPR/1st Aid or ability to obtain.
