Fannie May Confections Brands, a division of Ferrero, is a leading retail chain selling gourmet chocolates & candies. The first Fannie May retail store was opened by H. Teller Archibald in 1920 in Chicago. Throughout the years, Fannie May has developed candies that often become the center of many family and holiday traditions. Beginning with only a handful of confections, today Fannie May makes over 100 different confections and continues to develop new and innovative flavor profiles. Quality has always been the driving force behind the making of Fannie May chocolates.
Are you interested in effectively and efficiently operating machine to produce gourmet chocolate and candies? We’re looking for dedicated machine operators to help deliver the quality that is known and loved by every Fannie May customer for over 100 years. Pay is $21.00 per hour. 1st and 2nd shift available with shift differential for 2nd shift.
1. The Line Operator is required to operate all the equipment assigned to his/her area; including enrobers, shrink or flow wrappers, cutting equipment, melters, and tempering machines.
2. Record production details including line rates, downtime, quality tests, and total production
3. Ensure lines are supplied with necessary and appropriate raw and packaging materials for each SKU.
4. Changeover lines in required time frames with line associates.
5. Transport waste, rework and trash to the appropriate areas with line associates.
6. Ensure that all date and production codes are correct.
7. Direct assigned line associates in the appropriate manner to achieve goals.
8. Work any assignment as directed by supervisor.
9. Assure regular and timely attendance per company guidelines.
10. Work overtime as assigned by supervisor.
11. Participate in on-going training to enhance knowledge and skills.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
13. Responsible to uphold and maintain the food safety and quality systems.

- Blueprint reading
- Mechanical knowledge

- Machining skills
- Ability to use Calipers, Micrometer, and other precision measuring instruments
- Proficiency with Press brake machine, CNC lathe, and CAD
- Packaging knowledge
- Proficient with Hand tools
- Fabrication skills
- Tooling knowledge
- Strong basic math skills
- Assembly skills
