Responsibilities:

-Manages team’s email mailbox and corresponds to vendor inquiries

-Ensures the complete accurate process of making payments which include: Processing, Validating and reviewing all invoices as needed, timely payment of vendors.

-Assist with billing and matching discrepancies

-Work cross functionally and lead meetings within department and externally with Merchandising and Operations to resolve vendor issues.

-Handles New Employee training

-Reconcile vendor statements

-Month end accruals and close tasks

-Administrative duties and other projects/duties assigned

-Manages team’s time sheet and time off requests

-This position does have supervisory responsibilities

-Understand and adhere to internal controls

Qualifications: 

-Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance preferred 

-4 years of relevant experience 

-Must have recent supervisory experience

-Must be Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Access experience a plus

-GL and reconciliation experience a plus

-JDA/Microsoft Dynamics experience is a definite plus

-Strong organization and analytical skills required

-Ability to communicate with all levels of management

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 

-Strong working knowledge of accounting practices and principles

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

-Demonstrated ability to work effectively either as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively with staff on all levels

-Demonstrated ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner

-Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new information, processes and procedures

Good numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy

-Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, determine priorities and organize work to meet objectives and identify and deal with problems

-Experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products
