JOB DESCRIPTION

Love your job and feel full filled as an In-Home Care Licensed Vocational Nurse. Family Tree Private Care is searching for full-time, part-time and PRN LVNs. We are looking for compassionate nurses with a passion for service, family values, and a true desire to help the elderly. RESPONSIBILITES

· Travel to assigned patient’s homes and manage their care plan according to physician’s instructions.

· Assess and chart observations of the patient’s condition at each visit.

· Complete evaluation tasks, including reviewing medication and vital signs.

· Dress or redress wounds and assess the healing progress.

· Educating caregivers and family on the aftercare or ongoing care of the patient.

· Keep the patient comfortable through palliative care.

· Recommend tools or devices that may improve the quality of life for the patient.

SKILLS

· Strong interpersonal skills that allow them to get to know their patients, build personal rapport and establish trust to provide high-quality care while increasing patients’ enjoyment and comfort.

· Initiative so they can make independent decisions when required and accept direction and requests from patients.

· The abilityto follow instructions but also act independently if necessary.

· Excellent observational and problem-solving skills

· Ability to act swiftly in emergencies and work efficiently.

· Flexibility and patience to work in a variety of living environments.

· Knowledge of clinical skills including changing bandages, giving tube feedings, administering shots, and setting up and monitoring IVs

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

· Relevant license and certification

· A valid driver’s license and reliable transport

· Strong candidates have a minimum of 1 year of experience working in the home care industry (or related industry – hospice, home health, hospital, etc.)

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
