JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Lead Clinician

DEPARTMENT: FRC

REPORTS TO: Director of Programming

FLSA STATUS: _ Hourly X Salaried

POSITIONS OVERSEEN: Primary Counselors, Behavioral Technicians and Interns.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reinforce clinical program and staff adherence to the program standards.
  • Perform all functions of Primary Counselor (level of care assessments, insurance authorization, assume responsibility for case load of patients, interviewing, evaluation and development of treatment plans for patients, preparation of discharge and/or referral summaries, assist in the coordination of communication and program interaction with the medical, psychiatric, and psychological services).
  • Assist in the oversight and documentation of clinical service provided by the treatment team; assist in the assurance that these services are in accordance with the Standards of Care established by FRC. Provide orientation in accordance with training standards.
  • Is assigned to provide on-call coverage.
  • Marketing duties and other duties as assigned.
  • Plans all groups for each treatment night and compiles patient screening list.
  • Primary contact for staff, patient or parental issues/concerns/questions.
  • Participates in Group Consultation weekly.
  • Meet weekly with Program Director to address any concerns as well as supervision.
  • Assign caseloads.
  • Ensures census is accurately completed nightly.
  • Behavioral Chain Analysis (BCA’s) as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Masters Degree required in mental health field or equivalent.
  • Has clinical state licensure (LPC/LCPC, LSW/LCSW)
  • Two years experience in the field of mental health.

Hours:

Mondays: 1200pm-830pm

Tuesdays: 1200pm-830pm

Wednesdays: 4 floating hours when caseload is 8 or above

Thursdays: 1200pm-830pm

Fridays: 1200pm-830pm

Compensation: $60-70,000 salary based on licensure and experience (will increase as licenses and/or certifications are obtained)

On-Call: $200-300/week additional compensation

Health Insurance: Optional-FRC pays 50% of monthly premium and the other 50% is withdrawn from each paycheck on the 1stand 15thof each month.

Life Insurance of $50,000

Paid time off: 88 hours annually

401K Plan: 4% company match following 1styear of employment

Paid Holidays: Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Years Day

We are open the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve-all clinicians are required to work 1 of these holidays per year and are compensated by salary for all others.
