Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist our veterinary staff in providing care and treatment to a variety of animals. This role requires a passion for animal welfare and a desire to contribute to their well-being. This is a new clinic and you will be helping to create protocols and assist with marketing.

Duties:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
- Handle and restrain animals during treatment
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic and animal areas
- Provide compassionate care and support to both animals and their owners
- Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals

Requirements:
- Knowledge of animal husbandry practices
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques
- Experience in animal handling, including dogs, cats, and potentially exotic pets
- Understanding of animal physiology
- Ability to perform basic laboratory procedures
- Experience with pet sitting or equine care is a plus
