We are seeking an experienced CT/XRAY Technologist to join our Family!

We currently have Full-Time Night positions available.

Locations: San Antonio / Bandera Family Hospital 

Pay up to $45.00 per hour!

Shift Differential

One time sign-on bonus available to those who qualify with one year commitment.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT X-Ray Technologist to join our dynamic radiology team. As an integral part of our healthcare services, this role focuses on providing high-quality computed tomography and X-ray imaging to support the diagnostic needs of our patients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a patient-centric approach, and a commitment to excellence in medical imaging. Job Responsibilities

- Operate CT (Computed Tomography) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes. 

- Review and follow physician orders accurately to ensure proper scanning protocols are used. 

- Position patients on the CT examination table, ensuring their comfort and safety during the procedure. 

- Adjust CT machine parameters based on the specific exam and patient characteristics, optimizing image quality. 

- Administer contrast media orally, intravenously, or rectally as required for certain CT scans, following established protocols and safety guidelines. 

- Monitor patients throughout the scanning process, observing for any signs of distress or allergic reactions to contrast media. 

- Perform equipment quality checks to ensure proper operation and report any malfunctions or discrepancies to the appropriate maintenance personnel. 

- Maintain a clean and safe environment in the CT suite, adhering to infection control and safety guidelines. 

- Provide clear instructions and explanations to patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have about the CT procedure. 

- Record, process, and archive CT images following departmental protocols, ensuring accurate and confidential handling of patient data. 

- Participate in the training and mentoring of new staff members

Job Requirements

- Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) 

- State licensure as required for diagnostic radiographers 

- Specialized certification in Computed Tomography (CT) by the ARRT preferred 

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification 

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an X-Ray Technologist, with CT experience preferred 

- Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, pathology, and medical terminology 

 - Proficiency in the use of CT imaging equipment and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) 

- Ability to prepare and administer contrast materials according to protocol 

- Excellent patient care and communication skills 

- Capability to work independently as well as part of a team 

- Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, evenings, weekends, and on-call hours 

- Physical ability to lift and position patients and equipment 

- Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and standards for radiation use 

- Willingness to participate in ongoing education and training in radiologic technology and protocols

 - Attention to detail for accurate record keeping and documentation of procedures 

- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Licenses/Certifications

- Basic Life Support (BLS), within 30 days of hire.

- ARRT-R Radiography (ARRT-R)

- MRT
