We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician to join our Family!

We currently have a PRN position available.

Locations: Papillion

Introduction 

Join our dedicated surgical team and make a difference as a Certified Surgical Tech in a dynamic healthcare environment! You will play a crucial role in maintaining a sterile field, ensuring that all surgical equipment is functioning to its highest standards, and assisting surgeons and nurses during a variety of surgical procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will be pivotal in contributing to the safety and success of our surgical operations. Job Responsibilities 

- Ensure the operating room is prepared with all necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment. 

- Sterilize instruments and equipment before surgeries and maintain strict aseptic techniques. - Assist in positioning, draping, and preparing patients for surgical procedures. 

- Anticipate surgeon's needs and provide instruments and supplies to the surgical team during operations. 

- Maintain an accurate count of sponges, needles, and instruments before, during, and after surgery. 

- Assist with specimen collection and ensure proper labeling and transportation to the laboratory. 

- Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of biohazardous materials. 

- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, such as dressing applications and transport. 

- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient surgical experience for the patient. 

- Monitor and maintain the sterile field throughout the surgical procedure. 

- Assist in the cleaning and restocking of the operating room after surgery. 

- Attend in-service training to stay updated on new surgical techniques and procedures. 

Comply with hospital and departmental policies and procedures, as well as regulations set by governing bodies. 

- Engage in the maintenance and management of surgical equipment and inventory. 

- Contribute to the mentoring and education of new staff, surgical tech students, or residents.

Licenses/Certifications 

Basic Life Support (BLS), within 30 days of hire.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program as required per facility practice and state regulatory requirement.
