SUMMARY:

The Quality Incentives Coordinator will optimize levels of patient care and experiences while maximizing incentives offered by insurance companies for practice growth.

Job Title: Quality Incentives Coordinator

Reports To: Practice Manager

Department: Operations 

Supervises: N/A

Location: Hybrid remote and on-site

Travel Required: <25%

Position Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt 

Pay Scale: $15 - $19 per hour

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Coordinate patient care through scheduling tests to improve compliance with incentives
  •  Generate pre-visit documentation for each provider’s daily schedule
  •  Generate post-visit review documentation for the medical team to determine the rationale of missed measures
  •  Review the treatment plan laid out by the Primary Care Physician; ensure accurate scheduling, decrease noncompliance, identify patient barriers and completion of clinical quality measures for all patients at Family Health Medical Services
  •  Review patient insurance rosters to identify eligible patients for processes and outcomes that comply with all applicable incentive, accreditation standards and regulatory requirements
  •  Coordinate between departments to incorporate incentives into the Electronic Medical Records program along with development of patient education materials
  •  Review current insurance guidelines, review and develop new policy and procedures, inform staff and management of changes
  •  Liaison with insurance companies
  •  Review previous year’s performance and monthly balance sheets to identify where there are potential growth opportunities for quality improvement and accuracy of Quality Care Incentives
  •  May assist in other departments as needed
  •  Any additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  •  Working knowledge of medical terminology
  •  Medical record abstraction experience
  •  High School Diploma or GED required
  •  Associates degree in related field or two to four years related experience required

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  •  Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  •  Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
  •  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

The physical requirements and working environment are typical of most medical office settings. Employees are frequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk, balance, hear, talk, reach, and use their hands. Employees may occasionally be required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb (stepstool) and stretch. Physical effort requires some lifting usually not in excess of 15 pounds. The office work environment is indoors and free from dust, smoke, moisture, and excessive noise.
