We are looking for a dedicated, skilled, and respectful Optometrist to join our team. An experienced Optometrist can earn over 180K per year.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Optometrist will provide comprehensive licensed services to individuals including examining patients, analyzing test results; diagnosing and treating ocular diseases and abnormal physical conditions; prescribing and administering corrective devises such as glasses and contact lenses, drugs; advising patients about disease prevention, and referring out to specialists as necessary. The Optometrist will oversee the staff member for optician services, monitor and make recommendations for the efficient operations for the office, and adhere to corporate guidelines as appropriate.

DETAILED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides competent and friendly optometry care services to patients.
  • Participates in scheduled optometry care coverage.
  • Maintains, in a timely manner, FHC patient medical records and any other records in accordance with accepted standards and all hospital records, as required.
  • Maintains all credentials and licenses necessary to practice optometry in the State of Florida.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Optometry and medical terminology.
  • Appropriate knowledge and skill in offering direct treatment to patients in a recognized area of medical or medically related treatment.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of optometry.
  • Successful completion of all residency practice, as required.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Licensed by the DPR Board of Medicine, State of Florida.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligible in Optometry.
  • Bilingual, English-Spanish preferred
  • Multi-cultural background preferred.
