Family Development Services ~A Head Start Organization~ is Hiring a Behavior Specialist Near Indianapolis, IN

Responsibilities Include

  • Participate as a team member in the identification of social/behavioral problems.
  • Design, implement, and follow up on behavioral management programs for students to remediate behavioral and social problems.
  • Develop and maintain psychosocial and behavioral data on these students.
  • Plan and confer with the classroom teacher of these students as requested concerning any behavioral, social or personal problems affecting the students.
  • Assist with in-service activities regarding techniques for remediating behavioral, social or personal problems of students.
  • Participate in the referral process for students who require further evaluation and/or follow-up services to the appropriate personnel or community agencies.

 

Specific Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s in Social Work, Psychology, or related behavioral or human service field Home visiting experience preferred
  • Knowledge of child development
  • Knowledge of behavior management principles and techniques
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children and families.
