**Job Title: Dental Assistant**

**Location: connecticut Wethersfield/enfield

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for a range of duties aimed at ensuring smooth operations and excellent patient care.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Assist with Patient Care:**

- Provide chairside assistance to dentists during dental procedures.

- Take dental x-rays and maintain accurate patient records.

2. **Sterilization and Infection Control:**

- Implement and uphold strict sterilization and infection control protocols.

- Ensure the dental environment is clean and organized.

3. **Appointment Scheduling:**

- Assist in scheduling patient appointments, managing the calendar efficiently.

- Confirm appointments and handle scheduling changes.

4. **Phone Management:**

- Answer incoming calls, addressing patient inquiries and scheduling needs.

- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients.

**Qualifications:**

- Dental Assistant Certification or relevant experience.

- X-ray certification preferred.

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Knowledge of infection control procedures.

Dental Assistant needed for Wethersfield Dental Office

Phone skills and good personality are required

Evening hours are required

must be able to assist in some of the administrator tasks

job prescription include but not limited to

  • assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
  • taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays)
  • helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
  • performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer
  • communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)
  • asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse
  • serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
